Wow, a new of using yarn ... up the nose!

Good luck with the socks, and it is great that your attitude is so positive about the experience in spite of the troubles.

Best,

I think it was the best decision you could have made to frog the sock and start over - there's no use in continuing when you don't feel perfectly fine with it. This second start now seems perfect to me though - I can see the pattern, and the colors are gorgeous! Good luck with knitting it up - I'm sure you won't have any more problems this time!
And I totally adore this pic of your boy, how cute and fun!

Looks like we have similar sock "issues".

Hopefully my restart will make a better fitting sock. Hope yours turns out well too.

Creative use of yarn by your son!!! Thanks for your comment on my blog. And, thanks for not telling my professor!!! We were thrilled that a member of our knitting group got the blanket. Nancy might give it to her 16 year old son, who is also a knitter, and who loves the blanket!! He has loved it through all of its progress and he will appreciate it as well. Of course, the blanket will stay in the house and will probably not go away to college!! We are still stunned by how many tickets we sold. People really liked the blanket--and they were thrilled with its relationship to our church building which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This month a new addition has begun and long needed repairs to the historic structure mean that it will be closed as well for a period of time. Therefore, the timing was good for the blanket!
