Covering new territory :)

Filed under my life by sherriknits at 9:55 pm on Jul 14 2007

Last night was date night and did we ever need it.  We haven’t been getting our regular ‘down times’ and I notice it.  We got a pizza and drove out to our favorite place.

The roses are coming to their end but they’ll come back if the lady is taking care of them, which I’m sure she must be.

I took a little walk on the dock.  These rocks have significance to me and they’re really here just for my own remembrance.

Today I made progress on my MS3 and actually passed where I was last weekend.  I’m glad I started over, but I don’t care to do those 100 rows again.  I bet we get to do them on the other end of the shawl, though.  Hopefully I will feel better about them by then.  Everything is going smoothly and I’m several rows in to clue 2.  My hope is to catch up next week when we have a little extra time.

We figured out the strangest thing tonight.  We lose our internet connection at odd times.  Our daughter noticed that it seemed to be whenever hubby came home with his Jeep.  Tonight we tested it and it really is what happens!!!!  He drove away and came back several times and every time it worked then quit.  He tried parking in a different place and now we think that might be what it is because it is working better tonight.  Any ideas on that one?  We’re trying to figure out if it’s the alarm system or what.

And here is today’s sky.  It was nice earlier today, but this evening it was threatening to rain.

Wow! How strange about the internet and the Jeep! I’m stumped.

The stole is looking so very beautiful. Great knitting!

The rose and the rocks are beautiful.

That rainy sky sure looks like what we’ve been having for weeks. Better get your umbrella ready.

    Have a great week!

Pete has trouble with his CB radio when neighbors have their car alarms on, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it affects your wireless connection also.

Oh you are good, Sherri! What a fun blog to read! It’s so interesting getting to know people more whom you think you know already. Really, write a book. You make entertaining observations…isn’t it fun how we all wired so differently from each other? Oh, and I love the pic of the rocks. Gorgeous.

How nice that you get these date nights. We don’t have any family in the area and can’t afford a baby sitter so our dates are few and far between and we really miss them. We have to try extra hard to make time for each other and as a couple. It’s hard soemtimes but worth it to have our little family. I liked your stones and I have been a life long beachcomber. I have some stones that have special meaning for me as well. Your shawl is looking really great! The third clue is the easiest so far, I don’t think you’ll have any problem catching up!

    Hey Sherri,

Thought I’d jump in to the wireless mystery. Your router functions at a certain frequency….depending on if it is 802.11 b,g, etc. Usually it is at 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz. Check your router and then check other devices, like your wireless telephone as many of them are 2.4 GHz. If the base unit is too close to your router it can cause it to drop off. If this doesn’t work, I would start checking the jeep for devices that run in this frequecy range. CB’s usually use a much lower frequency than this. Good Luck!!

I also have a collection of significant rocks. It’s funny how I can attach a separate memory to each one (and remember them!)

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I’ve had a lot of fun with the photos.

The pictures of the rose and the rocks are pretty. The stole is looking good!

And thanks so much to Muffet for the details on the wireless frequencies! I hadn’t even thought of that!
