My lucky lurker socks are done. One is a little wonky and I may take it out and re-do the cuff only.
That will be for another day. The socks are going to be very warm!
The family was on tv tonight for a fundraiser. I snapped a few pictures but couldn’t use flash so they didn’t come out the greatest but I wanted to show them all. From left to right…
#1 daughter, #2 daughter, #1 daughter’s best friend, future son-in-law, hubby, and behind him #1 son. If this didn’t just warm a mom’s heart.
Next we have the church youth band. Again here are the 2 girls, the son-in-law and #1 son. The future groom is still on the drums but I couldn’t get him in from where I was sitting.
I just love hearing this girl play flute. We never minded the years of practicing because she is just talented.
I had a meeting to go to before they played so I dropped by to pick up the little imp and he had no intention of going home. I finally found him sitting out in the audience with his new brother. He was praying.
I started on my other sock club yarn but once again am going to have to adapt the pattern to fit. This yarn is so fine I almost wonder if I should go down to 000 needles. We’ll see how this works out.

Very nice socks! I like that family band concept. My brother plays bass in my dad’s band sometimes, and if they ever schedule a gig conveniently I might go and sing with them… maybe.

Wow, your socks look absolutely fantastic! I love how the colours go along together, and the pattern is such a unique and beautiful one! Great job!
How great it must have been to see your family on TV – I sure love the idea of a family band, what a wonderful thing to do! This is something that’s so rarely happening these days anymore – unfortunately – and that makes it all the more special!
