burp rags

It’s starting to get a little nuts around here, at least in my mind.  It will be nice when it’s all a pleasant memory.

In the knitting world, I finished my sock a few days ago.  The second one will just be on hold until after the wedding, I won’t want it until next fall anyway411sock

But I have to have something to keep my hands busy so I am now making Baby Genius Burp Rags and they are fast, fast, fast and totally mindless.

The top one I’m not thrilled with but it is the colors of the bedding she has.  The bedding is cute but I think it doesn’t translate well to the burp rag.  She can just fold it in the room and it will make more sense.  The other one I knit at least twice in my start and stop knitting.

I thought 40 stitches seemed too wide so I knocked it down to 30.  I got halfway through the yarn and decided that denial wasn’t making it any better, I hated the way the yarn was pooling so I went back to 40 stitches and I like it better.  I wanted to make a bunch of these and I do hope she’ll use them.  These new moms seem to think green and that’s cool.

Well, I never thought of burp rags….did you have a pattern or make one up? I have two babies on the way and they might make good little gifts..Also what did you use for yarn?
When is the wedding? My granddaughter’s wedding is the end of May…I am so glad to be going home and enjoy all the festivities…

Cute sock and cute burp rags!

I love that burp rag stitch pattern. I’ve used it for bibs.

Cute sock! I’m sure she’ll find lots of use for the burp rags!
