I had a nice little rest from blogging after 31 for 21. It was a good month for me, but I just needed to take a little break.
We’ve had a busy few days.
Before I tell you about them, I want to show you one of the new books I got.
Would you like to see how much I love it? I marked the ones I want to make.
See the “flags” sticking out there? Well, I was thinking I really should have just marked the ones I didn’t want to make. I already started on one.
On Saturday, I got to babysit Sweet Pea for the very first time. Would you like to see how it went?
Are you sure?
Ok, here goes…..
lol
She was just fine and then she was not. This girl does not work into anything. She turns on a dime and you’d just better accept it.
No one could believe I took the time to take her picture but I thought I’d better commemorate our first time alone and she wasn’t going to stop crying anyway. Believe it or not, we did have fun together.
I only had her for about 45 min. to an hour while Rhianna was doing an outdoor fundraiser with they youth girls. She’d had her with her for much of the day but had come to visit me at the shop for a short time and since there was less than an hour to go, thought it would be nice to keep her where it was warm. It doesn’t rattle me, I put in years of crying babies…especially with Rhianna….but I was happy that I didn’t get any phone calls.
When Rhianna came to get her, this is what she found.
I don’t like that picture of her, but she was totally out. Rhianna had told me that I would get extra points if I got her to sleep, not sure if I did or not but I did enjoy my time.
I also loved seeing her with her daddy at church on Sunday in his office. That’s the little sweet pea hat I made her.
Monday was Kyle’s birthday. They had a little party on Tuesday night. Tyler loves picking out cards.
This one in particular really caught his attention.
This is just so you can see what it was…a $10 musical card! But….he pulled his “I see you are taking my picture so I will not smile now” routine.
I love that Sweet Pea loves her Uncle Tyler.
Rhianna had to frost the cake one-handed as the sweet little girl screamed.
Note Tyler getting ready to take pictures. He was the official photographer.
I love seeing Rhianna and Kyle become their own little family. It’s been fun to watch Rebecca and Chase, too. Soon we’ll be watching Ben and Brittany and I guess they can watch us adjust completely to how it will be for us. Good things.

Looks like a great book. I guess we’ll be seeing lots of baby hats in the near future. Lucky Mayah!

Loved Sweet Pea crying and sleeping….priceless! Looks like you will be busy making hats
The picture of Tyler ready to take a picture was so sweet. He looked as if the party was for him, in the sweet smile on his face. This is the type of family I pray we’ll be as our kiddos start to marry…closer than I think, time goes so fast.
So glad your back to the blog, I missed you and hearing about your family! I’m thinking one day we MUST meet, I’ll have to call a road trip….where would I be going?

Love all the pictures.
My little one screams when I leave her with anyone other than my aunt. Thankfully, that’s where I leave her 4 out of 5 days a week. It totally unnerves my dad that she isn’t as happy as her brother was with him. LOL! Glad to see you taking it all in stride!
Tyler is adorable as always. Can you belive how much those music cards cost?? LittleMan loves them, but they sometimes cost 1/2 of what I was willing to pay for the gift!

Glad that you are back! Looks like you have been busy.
Baby hats are so much fun to make. Quick gratification.
Sweet Pea is so cute. And Tyler crackes me up, with his serious look, of not smiling. He looks like he is thinking.
