it’s all about the journey…

a rainy monday

Filed under my life by sherriknits at 1:37 pm on May 04 2009

We are supposed to have a storm tonight. I used to look forward to them, but still a little jittery after last year’s monster storm.

Ok….I really hope I don’t get in trouble for this, but I went to see my brother the day after his surgery and look how great he looks!

How amazing is that? I haven’t seen that light in his eyes for years and I am too happy to not share this.

Today I was driving through town and I almost rear-ended the car in front of me. I had to drive around the block to take a picture. That’s my brother they are talking about.

There are other signs around town. The day after the fundraiser, this same shop had a sign up thanking the community for being there. I’ve seen letters to the editor, too. Overwhelmingly wonderful.

I am knitting but too lazy to take pictures since I already got these on, but I will share the first sock of one of my dear friends!

I taught her the kitchener stitch after church and she got the toe closed. Cute, eh?

I started knitting a small shawl but I ask myself if I will really wear it. I just got some Kureyon sock yarn and am doing a mindless pattern that I really like, created just for this yarn. I’ll get a few more inches then show you.

And now, I am going to try to take a nap before I have to go to a meeting tonight.

Thanks so much for all the support for the sister of the brother who had brain surgery!

Hi Sherri! I am sooooooo glad Frank made it through ok and that the results were positive. Yeh Lord! He did look really well in this picture.

I hope you have recovered sufficiently and gotten some good rest since.

We are fine here in MN! Busy with baseball season. Winston hit a over the fence homerun last night. It is their 3rd game of the season. He can really hit that kid. Pretty much a natural athlete like his dad. He is trying out for the traveling team tonight at 5:30. It is the Minnetonka/Hopkins area traveling BB team. I hope and pray he makes it….but their are alot of good players on just his league of 120-140 kids. But only 7 of that number have hit over the fence homeruns. Talk about shameless bragging, huh?!?! I know I can brag to you. We can brag about our beautiful children.

Buy the way, Rebecca is sure a pretty girl. Good picture.

Gotta run! Have a super day! Tell Frank his MN cousins are praying and rooting for him.

Still praying for Frank and so glad he is doing well…also happy to put a face with the name :) I’ll share this with the rest of the family.

The signs in town are really neat, glad you weren’t in a wreck!

I loved the color of the sock ,and look forward to seeing your new projects…one day maybe I’ll try to knit?! Hope you have a blessed week!

I am so glad that Frank is feeling good. And that all went well with his surgery. He looks pretty happy! How wonderful to have the support of your town like that. The joys of living in a smallish town. At least I guess it is a small town. I think I should come and see for myself :-)
Can’t wait to see what else you are knitting.
