stitch n pitch!

Posted by sherriknits

We left our vacation spot for a day and drove 3 1/2 hours to go to the game in Seattle. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a lower attended game, but we had a blast just the same. We met Kyle, Rhianna and Mayah there. They were the only ones available this year, but the other kids all went to a game the same week so our family had the Mariner’s covered. Two of those three games, the Mariners won….ours was not the one. We still had fun….in spite of the fact that our seats were in the very last row. Now tell me, why is it that when you are looking at a stadium full of empty seats and you ask for the best seats available, you would end up in the last row???? I don’t know if anyone remembers my fear of heights issue, but I have found I can do those seats ok if I look at my feet when I am on the steps. lol

Anyway, here is a highlight of our evening. Ribbit enjoyed himself a lot.

We saw his cousin sitting on one of the shop tables out in the area where there were a lot of yarn stores set up. To be honest, I think our Mr. Ribbit was pretty good looking.

He sat between Kenny and I while we waited for the kids to get there.

Here they come! You can see how steep the stairs are.

Little Missy.

She’s pretty excited with her new trick of clapping and thought it was pretty cool that the people all around us knew the same trick.

See those girls behind? She flirted with them all evening.

game over.

Ok, this was too funny. Tyler was in rare form. He had so much fun and was so funny. He’s either totally in to posing or full of “moooooooooooooooom” if I ask him to stand still. When I took this picture, there were a bunch of people waiting to come down the stairs and they were cracking up at his pose.

We had a great time. There was construction near the stadium making it hard to get back to the freeway. We followed signs forever and ended up in a pretty creepy area, wondering if we’d missed a sign….saw one, made the turn where it said to and ended up in a very bumpy dirt parking lot…full of potholes. Kenny tried to drive through it but we could tell it let to another really bad parking lot so we turned around and got back on the road until we found another sign that brought us all the way back to where we’d been but we managed to see the street we needed. What’s funny about this is that Ben and Brittany did the same thing the night before!!!

We got to our house at 12:30, got out of the car and in to the Jeep and continued on to the RV park, got there at 2! It was worth it, though.
